Like a Flower

Like a flower, I'd touch you softly, Gently holding you, Like that flower I once gave you.
I hold you closer, Smelling that sweet scent, Like a freshly picked rose, With the petals all Over your chest.
The sight of the flower, Reflects the beauty, That is before me, I give the living mirror to you, As my way of telling you.
I just let you rest In between my arms, And watched you blossom, Open up and show that beauty. This is just my way of saying That I love you.

Origin of ThoughtI got post-its for pictures, Ones that haven’t been taken, Only scribbled for my imagination Left hanging, incomplete. The words pour from my ears Covering the mirror with Little room left where my head sits, Reminding myself the origin of my thoughts.
Stepping back I see myself, “The wider picture”, Looking for reasons. Why left unfinished With no pattern or link? The light is dim in my room, Leaving me in a stone gaze Amazed at all my phrases. Origin of Thought

My White LiesI lie about the room filled with her, Find much comfort to my rest But with pieces missing to the puzzle. Not exposing the hidden chunk Locked with a ball and chain – Desperate to be set free. Am I the faceless book? Where by passers read my Blank pages, can she see the words? Will I be the last to know the answers. I never ask the questions, We are both left in the dark.
